{{Mech Description
 +
|Description=This modified version the Thanatos removes the right arm and replaces it with a new arm that is capable of mounting ballistic and energy weapons. To keep the Mech physically balanced, some modifications were made to the left Arm.
 +
|Strengths=Increased line of sight firepower over the original version makes the Thanatos XT a dangerous enemy. The balanced weaponry is equally distributed over the chassis, and this serves to prevent significant loss of offensive potential with the loss of a single arm. The ECM and IFF Jammer capability is retained, creating a stealthy unit able to approach and infiltrate enemy positions and use its natural close combat ability to disrupt operations. Top speed and agility factors are somewhat low, but these are less an issue when engaged in close combat than they are when deploying or maneuvering due to the 360ΒΊ torso twist.
 +
|Weaknesses=Lack of Jump Jets is the most significant sacrifice the Thanatos XT makes in exchange for increased firepower as all other performance factors and electronics support is identical. A heavier reliance on ballistic weapons can result in ammunition concerns, though a strong secondary energy component mitigates this. The center torso is this and difficult to target exclusively, though the massive left and right torso can be easily targeted even from long range. Its disappointing performance is a disadvantage when facing more maneuverable mechs in or near its weight class, and it relies on its weaponry to overcome this.
