This Steiner Mech is still the '[[Gauss Rifle]] with legs' the original is, but the extra 10 tons means it is better armored and carries more backup weapons. |Strengths=Few mechs in or near this this weight class can carry the heavy [[ballistic]] weaponry of the Hollander II. The high mounted weapons is useful for engaging targets from behind cover, or over hilltops where the main body of the mech can remain protected. While top speed is not exceptional, it is achieved through only 5 total tons of engine upgrades. Lack of chassis agility factors is minimized by the quick reaction, 360º torso twist. This capability endangers those units sent to intercept the Hollander II, as the mech can redeploy at full speed while engaging pursuers. The only non-standard equipment carried is the [[Advanced Gyro]], which creates a stable platform from which to utilize the main gun, also preventing knockdown by heavy weapons fire. While is can serve as an insurgent, the lack of stealth equipment limits its use in this role, making the [[Hellspawn]], or [[Hunchback]] a better choice in such circumstances.<ref>[http://trm.mektek.net/index_mechs.htm MechWarrior4 - Technical Reference Manual]</ref> |Weaknesses=Sacrifices have been made to allow the configuration of heavy ballistics, both in performance and electronics support equipment. Its performance factors are extremely low for a mech of its size, and it maneuvers more like a battlemech weighing 30-40 tons more due to underpowered engine options. The Main Gun is protected only by an internal armor value of 40 points, and due to its size it is vulnerable to damage. The heavy ballistic capability is the primary configuration option and ammunition must be addressed.
