Mostly a missile Mech, it has enough beam and ballistic hardpoints to give it as well-rounded stature. |Strengths=Excellent speed and agility, combined with [[Jump Jets]] and a comprehensive electronics suite combine to create a versatile and adaptable battlemech. Redistribution of weapons slots greatly enhances the combat effectiveness of an already capable chassis. While the original Hellspawn was capable of configuring only single slot secondary armament, the Mektek version allows the use of heavier caliber ballistics and powerful energy weapons. This option permits a significant increase in direct fire weaponry, and adds "sniper" to the already impressive list of roles for which the Hellspawn can be utilized.<ref>[http://trm.mektek.net/index_mechs.htm TRM4 Technical Reference Site]</ref> |Weaknesses=Even with the enhanced weapons capability, the Hellspawn remains a secondary threat. In close combat, the light chassis and limited armor protection place it at a disadvantage against heavier opponents. Speed will often be limited in most configurations to permit the use of heavier weaponry and the Hellspawn can often be intercepted by heavier units. The electronics will decrease missile lock times and the chassis will not absorb much damage before being crippled tactically. carrying much of the offensive capacity, the arms and the S1 Missile Rack are exposed and vulnerable to damage.
