|Description=Although the Cougar is not able to go as fast as the [[Raven]] or [[Osiris]], it is one of the most powerful scout Mechs in existence and outguns both its Inner Sphere counterparts.
|Strengths=Very fast, and well armored for a [[Light]] mech, the Cougar is suitable for a wide variety of missions, and not limited to merely scouting. Differing from the original version of the Cougar, the two Omni slots have been split to prevent the use of 3 [[ER Large Laser]]s on a light chassis. An excellent chassis for Capture the Flag games, it carries good armor protection for a mech of its weight class. [[Jump Jets]], good agility, and the ability to carry considerable long range weaponry make it a mech to be respected, if not feared. But these same qualities, coupled with the [[Enhanced Optics]] make the Cougar a surprisingly effective and deadly threat as a sniper.<ref>[http://trm.mektek.net/index_mechs.htm MechWarrior4 - Technical Reference Manual]</ref>
|Weaknesses=Though it can be effective in a wide variety of roles, the Cougar still represents a secondary threat on the battlefield. As with all [[Light]] mechs, legs are vulnerable, as are the arms. Removing the arms severely degrades it potential, and the Cougar will not absorb a great deal of damage before being destroyed.
