|Description=First created by Clan Star Adder as an insult  to their enemies, Clan Blood Spirit, the Blood Asp is a capable [[:Category:OmniMechs|OmniMech]] able to mount a large number of heavy weapons such as [[ER PPC]]s or [[Gauss Rifle]]s. The heavy weapons load and extensive electronics make it a match for any other assault Mech in production.

The weapons capability is extremely well balanced and able to be configured for a wide variety of diverse mission requirements. It's [[BAP]] and [[ECM]] make it dangerously hard to detect and it should be crippled at long range if possible to prevent a close approach where its torso twist can be used to good effect. Its turn rate and twist speed are unremarkable however, and it is still vulnerable to close combat by smaller, more agile mechs. Its cockpit is situated on a fairly prominent nose, and is especially vulnerable when it turns to engage circling units.
