|Strengths=With good armor and relative speed the black knight makes the Star League Defense force proud to have been its first producer. Most of its weapons systems have been built around stand-off dog-fighting, which it does well, but the black knight is a capable in-your-face type fighter.

|Weaknesses=The lack of electronics especially IFF takes a serious toll on the mech's prolonged use in fast-paced fights. The arms positioning decides several weaknesses. A. the arms are asking to be destroyed. B. they represent most of the mech's capability (due to the omni slots) and once destroyed offer the mech no protection. C. the arms position limits it's use as a sniper. Finally, the mech's crippled speed is very poor, so light mechs who are used to running in circles around heavies should exploit this.
